Nissan Cube Gets the Best Parking Space

Some of you may know that we bought a Nissan Cube a few months ago.  The first was sold and delivered to the customer in London Ontario! We seriously love this funky car.  I have no complaints at all.  I just need to take more pictures of it.  I got a bit creative and staged this up for todays HDR photo to feed the soul.  This is at the Westminster Ponds at about 6:45am.  I thought it would make a fun shot to show both the dirty derelict house and the funky Nissan Cube.   We get a lot of stares when out on the road but I feel as if they are slowly subsiding.   We’ve seen only 2 other Cubes on the road as well and it’s always been a wave of excitement for both cube owners.  The HDR image here was shot with 5 raw images that were then sent through lightroom into photomatix [interestingly enough, lightroom converts your images to TIF files as it exports to photomatix and apparently helps with better or high quality images].   I am really starting to think about how I want to be selling my work.  I’m trying to relate it to art in a way.  Keep an eye on Nuwomb – discussions about very small photography business ideas for more on this initial thought.

I made the decision to make photography a part of my everyday life. While I still battle depression every single day, I know photography helps keep me moving forward. There are days still spent in bed, but they’ve become less and less.

If I decide to miss the Geek Dinner again, the resistance isn’t going to make a compromise and allow me to go to the dinner next month.  I thanked the lizard brain and made my way downtown in the Cube.
