HDR Pharmacy – Feed Your High Dynamic Addiction

HDR Pharmacy for the High Dynamic Addiction by Scott Webb

We were introduced to this complex in British Columbia that had a lot of abandoned buildings.  It was called Riverview Mental Hospital.  Some buildings seemed as if they were still in use and others were totally abandoned.  This pharmacy looked like it was calling for some HDR work.  I shot this HDR image handheld because I left the tripod in the car.  I really love the way that the HDR technique can pull out the detail of years of weathering around the windows.  The amazing detail is one of the  main reasons that I adore this technique so much. Yes, I have a high dynamic addiction and I’m not afraid to say it.

I made the decision to make photography a part of my everyday life. While I still battle depression every single day, I know photography helps keep me moving forward. There are days still spent in bed, but they’ve become less and less.
