I was shooting HDR brackets backwards. What? I thought to get all the detail, I wanted the last image to almost be complete darkness instead of trying to reveal all the shadows.

You can find pretty much everything I do with photography and HDR photography on nuwomb.  I’m actually trying to inspire other people to get more into photography through action. I believe we’re in a second renaissance and photography is now very democratic. Anyone and everyone should be able to take amazing photographs today.  I hope to get into a lot more information up for starting a small photography business.

I’ve decided to change up the way that I post my images on the photoblog.  I’m creating 1 post for each month and showcasing that grouping on the homepage.

I’m going to be launching a daily newsletter that offers limited edition prints to people.  I will eventually be posting the limited edition prints to the public, but subscribers will get first dibs The prints are going to be very limited, I mean like 1 print a lot of the times. I stumbled across this convenience store last summer.  The summer before, I remember it open.  Sometimes convenience just doesn’t last.

The HDR was shot handheld and I give thanks to Photomatix for the awesomeness it does with alignment.

These are a couple oldies – my old 2003 Honda Civic SIR Hatchback at an industrial factory in London, Ontario.  They were shot with my Nikon D40X and the fisheye lens.  The fisheye lens had to be manually focused and was tough at night.  It was one of the reasons that I went with the upgrade soon after.  I love these photos and hope to get new ones with the Nissan Cube at some point!   I also need to get out and experiment with Night HDR Photography.

Over the next little bit, I’ll probably be posting the images from my adventure with a Drive-In last March.  A few of the HDR photos around the Mustang Drive-In were posted here but were never re-posted after the crash.  So, what I am essentially doing is trying to get Urban HDR in order and planned out to ensure success for 2010.   I have a lot on the go, a lot of changes happening in my life right now and I am dying to get out with my camera.  But before that, I do need to plan out schedules and get everything good to go.  I appreciate you stopping by here to check out the images and I am going to do my best to stick to images posted ever other day!

I sometimes feel as if I am backed into a corner, but what we can now accomplish with a digital camera pulls me though.  Having such freedom for creativity in photography is eye opening and soul soothing.   I am about to pursue my loves full time! This HDR photo in London, Ontario here is sort of significant of my 2009.  I’m looking to breakout and take the risk. Risking a lot, but feeling as if I’ll never know anything unless I try.

Let’s see where HDR photography can take us in 2010 and see how it evolves. Thanks for visiting!

An HDR photograph taken in Toronto, just outside the Kensington Market! I converted it to black and white because I am pretty much in love with black and white HDR these days.   Tomorrow, if you come back – I’ll post the colour image.  I’m going to post something in the actual blog here soon too about an idea for this place come 2010 – it will be about using our imagination.
